Can someone please explain the lists feature? I don't understand the purpose. Thanks!

Displays a searchable list of users on your site. I've no idea if you need them. That depends entirely on what you're trying to do with your site and CB. Suggest reading the CB Primer Book, which you can download below.

Thanks krileon! So lists only pertain to users and nothing else? If you put users in 2 lists could you bulk email either group, or is that not what thats intended for?

Yes.

If you put users in 2 lists could you bulk email either group

No, if you want to bulk email users you will have to use the mass mailer feature in CB > User Management in backend.

or is that not what thats intended for?

Correct, the purpose is to just display and reach user profiles on frontend.
