CALL TO A MEMBER FUNCTION GET () was created by wjgadmin
Hi all,
We're getting an error when users change their password doing the following:
User profile / Edit profile / change password

Please see image of the error. Unfortunately this is messing up our entire site, perhaps it causes a loop in the backend? Please help us resolve it so our users can update their passwords. Please let me know if you can reproduce and how to resolve, or if you need more details. Thank you

You'd need to provide the full path of the error. Check server error log and provide the full error to see where it's even coming from. Be sure everything installed, including other extensions, is up to date and see if issue persists as well.

You'll need to review the PHP error log. The error provided is unrelated to your issue and is from your Apache error log. The PHP error should have the same error message as seen on your site, but should include a file path and line number. If not you need to review configured xdebug for your server then retesting to get more details about the error as without more details I don't have the slightest clue where your issue is coming from.

Very strange, I do not see any errors other than authentication errors in the php logs. Here is what I see for that day:

2019-08-14T07:20:12+00:00 INFO ............ gmailfailure Failed to authenticate: User is blacklisted.
2019-08-14T10:30:20+00:00 INFO ............ gmailfailure Failed to authenticate: User is blacklisted.
2019-08-14T10:30:20+00:00 INFO ............ gmailfailure Failed to authenticate: User is blacklisted.
2019-08-14T12:54:22+00:00 INFO ............ gmailfailure Failed to authenticate: User is blacklisted.
2019-08-14T17:41:11+00:00 INFO ............ gmailfailure Failed to authenticate: User is blacklisted.

I'm curious if this could've been related to Joomla itself. I've updated to the 3.9.11 from 3.9.10 and I've tested a password reset successfully. I am awaiting a response from the user to see if it resolved their error as well. Unless you have any other thought regarding the errors above? Thank you

Contact your host if unsure how to access your error logs. A PHP error log entry will look something like the following.

Code:
[23-Jul-2019 13:23:52 UTC] PHP Fatal error: ERROR_MESSAGE in FILE_PATH on line LINE_NUMBER

You may see warnings and also info here as well. You'll need to review around the timestamp of when your error occurs. Beyond that there's nothing I can suggest other than begin disabling non-core plugins and Joomla extensions 1 by 1 until the issues goes away as it's possible an out of date plugin could be the culprit.
