Method of updating Community Builder was created by yogs99
Hi,

a) I get Community Builder update notification in Joomla administrator dashboard. Once I click the "Update Now" button, it downloads a .zip file.
b) At the same time I also see the Community Builder under Joomla Extension Update.

1) So I got two options to update the Community Builder. Which one is the best method (a or b)?

2) If I select the option (a), do I have to upload the .zip file via Joomla's Extensions --> Manage --> Install or Community Builder --> Plugin Management --> Install New Plugin

Thank you

If you've a build release installed you can't update through Joomla. The reason for this is Joomla update version checker can't handle semver +build metadata. You can use the Install from Web within CB > Plugin Management > Install New Plugin to update CB and any of our products directly from your install though otherwise you'll need to continue with manual download and upload install.
