I should (even third-party extension) allow users to click on a heart (or similar) placed under items to make one or more items preferred to that user. Then with a menu item the user can see the list of all his favorite articles

how can I do ?

Joomla has no such functionality so CB does not either. The only thing CB does with Joomla articles is display list of the articles a user created and link the author to users profile. CB also integrates with K2 so you can see if K2 has such functionality, but beyond that I don't know what to suggest, sorry. We've no plans for such functionality at this time.
