Currently I have joomla 2.5.28 with community builder 1.9.1 and CBSub 2.0.2. The manual state I need community builder 2.1.4 in order to continue. I am having a hard time upgrading community 1.9.1 to 2.0.2. I keeps giving me error like “The Package Installer failed to clean up. Please uninstall the Package Installer manually within Extensions > Manage.” I've already uninstalled Package Installer. How do i manually install the update if this is not working.

Thanks

Backup your install. Download latest CB package. Unzip the package then install the zip file in the /extensions/packages folder. The package installer does not work when migrating from CB 1.x.

I figured it out. I had to install the plugin in the plugin area.

Once you've migrated to CB 2.x manually by downloading latest CB and unzipping it then installing the single zip file in /extensions/packages you don't need to unzip the package installer anymore and will be able to just install it normally.
