[SOLVED] Unable to install was created by wtw
Hello

I am using Joomla 3.5.6 and trying to install CB 2.1.2

I am getting several error messages;

Warning
JFolder::create: Could not create folder.Path: /home20
Warning: Failed to move file: /tmp/phpVVn87H to /home20/mysite/public_html/tmp/pkg_communitybuilder_2.1.2+build.2017.02.08.01.14.28.ec3d63d1f.zip

And...

Error
Archive does not exist
Unable to find install package

Can anyone please advise, is this a problem with the installation files for CB, or some set-up problem with my Joomla installation?

Many thanks

Jo

You've a permissions problem it looks like. It's unable to move the zip from php tmp to Joomla for Joomla to process it.

Thanks krileon, can you tell me, is this something my host has to rectify, or something I would usually have access to? Where are the permissions, and what are they for?

Many thanks
Jo

It's something you can typically fix using FTP to fix folder permissions. If unsure how contact your host.

How do I identify directories that have the wrong permissions?

Many thanks

It tells you in the error.

Warning: Failed to move file: /tmp/phpVVn87H to /home20/mysite/public_html/tmp/pkg_communitybuilder_2.1.2+build.2017.02.08.01.14.28.ec3d63d1f.zip

FROM: /tmp
TO: /home20/mysite/public_html/tmp

Basically PHP tmp to Joomla tmp. Joomla tmp folder probably has wrong permissions or the PHP user that's doing the file move doesn't have permissions. If unsure how to correct this I strongly recommend contacting your host.
