Redirecting Index.php

Hi,
Everything looks good and ok. Just one little problem. When I click on Menu (Home) it takes me back to the Home page BUT then it says .index.php at the end of the URL.

I would like it to redirect to the original page which is www.examplesite.com WITHOUT the index.php in the end. Can someone please guide me on how to do that ?

I prefer not to Mess with the SEO settings, but I believe there is a script that can be uploaded, can someone please guide me in detail how to ?
