Adding buttons to the Joomla Toolbar was created by ltempest

Hello,
Currently the CB toolbar displays and number of buttons in the grey toolbar to control CB, such as New, Delete etc.

Is it possible for em to add buttons to this toolbar?

Also could the search box be moved to this toolbar location?

Will this require code changes?
