This issue has been going on for several months now but we can't seem to get to the bottom of things. We even got our hosting company (HostGator) support team to look into it with no help.
Here is what was/is happening.
New user registers, no emails were sent, either to the user or to any of the moderators. HostGator suggested we upgrade Community Builder to version 1.9, which we did. We also upgraded CBSubs to version 3.0. This didn't help, still no emails.
A contact form in Joomla mails fine.
Mass mail in Joomla mails fine.
So SMTP is not the issue.
HG support stated that CB isn't even attempting to email and that they can't do anything further.
I registered a new account, still no emails. Went into admin, selected the new account I just created and click on Resend Confirmation. To my surprise I received the email. But still no moderator emails.
I decided to turn off CBSubs. Registered another account. Immediately received email stating that account was pending approval. Still no emails to moderators.
I turned CBSubs back on. Registered another account. Back to no emails.
So it appears there are two issues here:
1:Moderators are not receiving emails.
1:CBSubs is interfering with registration confirmation emails.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If you need backend access let me know.
We've currently replaced the Register link to go to a contact form, which does get emailed.
