I had to migrate a CB 1.02 site (under J!1.0) to CB 1.9 (under J!3.0).
That's more than 5 years of history.
So I thought it would last hours : it was done in minutes.

Here are the steps I followed, in case it may help some one
(I won't discuss here migration of Joomla, only the CB part) :

  1. On a new Joomla 3 installation, with no CB, I added directly the old comprofiler tables in the new database
  2. Then I installed CB Comprofiler (with no add-ons/plugins) and, as stated in the manual, Saved the CB Configuration and added a public User Profile menu item
  3. I copied the images/comprofiler subdirectory from the old site to the new one
  4. I adjusted the Super User id that was different in that ancient time
That's all! I found everything : Complete Profiles and Lists. They were all there.
Of course, it is useful to run afterward, as usual, the Tools.

Thank you for making CB so consistent through the years and long life to CB.
