Fatal error: Class 'JModel' not found was created by vbuilder
I am on Joomla 1.6 and CB 1.4. I built a Members Menu with Login and Registration sub-menus linking to Menu Item Types from CB comprofiler. It was working fine for awhile, but now I am getting the following error message:

Fatal error: Class 'JModel' not found in /home/virtualg/public_html/modules/mod_weblinks/helper.php on line 14.

This happens on calls to any of the menu Item Types in the comprofiler. Can someone tell me how to correct this issue? I am a newby and the website I am learning Joomla with is virtualgate.com. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

In your sites root folder(public_html), navigate to modules/mod_weblinks/helper.php
Edit the helper.php file and insert the following code at the top of the code. I preferred to put it after the comments.

jimport('joomla.application.component.model');

I hope this works for you as it did for me. Enjoy the application.

Thanks you very much for your post. It does really work.

By the way do you know how this error comes all of sudden. The site was working fine since last 2 years and just yesterday I got this problem. I have not changed anything.

Thank you once again for you great help.
