I think trail was talking about two opitions -- a subscription package and another option -- I might be wrong though.

Probably am!

trail,
do we have to pay for svetz import invite scripts ??

well , to tell you, i already bought it :) but do others need to pay or how it is going to be ...

btw, svetz has been updating his scripts to work wiht hotmail live mail and the new yahoo changes... just a note :silly:

Yes you can use his quality scrips, they are NOT included, and his updates are free!

You can use his scripts inside this component! You can even get a little discount if you mention you are gonna use this in this component. For this i need to send him your email adress.

The subscription service is different and not related to this component.

If others want his scripts they need to pay too, ofcourse, you may NOT distribute his scripts NOR this component!

Oh !! I am NEARLY DONE with the first raw beta!!! whoohooo!!

Actually i am already done, but i keep wanting to advance it with more options.. like enabling you to select if you want the karma message displayed if you have the plugin.. and the same for connections.. like;

"You get 5 karma for each friend that signs up!!!"

If you install the plugin you get the functionality, if you don't you had to edit the language file so it doesn't say this message.. NOW.. you can select in backend if you are using the plugin!!!! same for auto-connections.. i know.. im crazy.. but i want to deliver quality and i LOVE ease of use!!...

I need sleep... but wanna finish this raw version that i keep expanding lol...

They are written by me and only 2 sites have them. www.djtrail.nl also has them. I code for www.djtrail.nl and sometimes i also use it for humangels.com wich is another pet project of mine.

They are standalone, meaning, they actually run outside of joomla. When i started coding i didn't even know you could put a module on the front page.. *shrug* (still not sure how ppl do that) coding standalone scripts is a hassle and a bit inefficient for the server cpu. Thank god i learned a lot in the past years since i created those :) (Many thanks and respect to my teachers: CB founder JoomlaJoe and our master coder Beat!)

They are not available because they are not modules. The front pages i use on both djtrail.nl and humangels.com are actually wrappers that are using included 'outside-of-joomla' files and all those files run outside of joomla. You don't want that :)

Yo guys,

I need some testers soon.. i will arrange a discount of 25 bucks for the first 5 knowledgable testers.. BE QUICK :)

Testers need to have joomlaboard and CB installed. And a bit of knowledge to be able to explain any problem they might encounter.. i don't like 'it doesn't work' but i do like 'i get such and so error message and i think it has to do with this and that..'

Testers that can get on MSN or Yahoo to talk are also prefered.

I have only one server to test on, and as head CB tester i do test it rigorously.. but different servers mean different problems so i need at least 5 different setups.. ranging from weird mysql installations to php 3 4 5....

To apply, send a private message to me, with your mysql version and your PHP version, also mention if you use joomla or simple-board, and add your MSN or Yahoo account so i can add you.

Yups, i think thats all.. :)

I'd love to test, Trail -- but I don't know in the next couple of days if I would have the time to do it justice.

I checked out Humagels -- the invite script looks great. But there is one error there.

When I click on: "Read the invititation"

I get this:

ERROR: The administrator needs to upload and configure the scripts available at svetlozar.net
ERROR: The administrator needs to configure an email adress in the backend of this component.
ERROR: The administrator needs to configure the startscript in the backend of this component.

A couple of requests for the component:

1. Would it be possible to have the feature -- as part of the import invites script -- to send an email to a user-inputted email address? Not import it, but have the user enter it into a text box?

2. Input a custom message in a text field to put in with the standard invitation that is sent out, i.e. "found this really cool site!, etc"...
