You need the com_joomlaflashgames and more than likely the cb plugin to save highscores. All can be found at rut-row.

To see it working have a look at my site:

www.schulconnection.com

It's in German but that shouldn't matter!

Have a look at the profiles and you can see how the highscores are saved, it's a really great component and plug.

Thanks. I did install the files you mentioned. It looks indeed great on your site but it is not working on my site.. I added the script code in the template index.php file as mentioned in the install instructions. There is said that it should be added below "require_once( 'includes/joomla.php' ). This code I rather do not have in my index.php. Do you know why and how?

The other thing is that I got the error message
"The file /admin.dcs_flashgames.php has been encoded with the ionCube PHP Encoder and requires the free ionCube PHP Loader to be installed." Do I have to install this ionCube??? It says I have to install it on the server..??(of my provider???)

This could be the reason it's not working on my site? (the games are working but not the highscores functions). Thanks.

You must edit the main index.php . not the index.php of your template.

I noticed that in this forum section, two different flashgames component are being mixed up:

1. dcsFlashgames, downloadable from ekith.com/
2. com_joomlaflashgames_RC1, downloadable from rut-row.com/ . This one has a CB plugin (JFG meets CB).

Am I right??
Is this CB plugin also working with dcsFlashgames?? I'm a bit confused about this all.

Yep you're right on that...looks like there's a little confusion on this.

dcsFlashGames is over at eKith.com and that's the better of the two (shameless plug)

rut-row is the one carrying the same name as a project trail was working on.

dcsFlashGames has been the defacto standard on joomla flash games so far. We're working on the 1 year mark right now and so far so good!

I just wanted to let everyone know that with our upcomming 1.5 release we're trying to get more features turned on for free. We have a full CB plugin, uddeIM and Joomla/Simple board. We're working on JIM and Clexus integrations too.

The component is ioncubed, which is unfortunate, but we had to start protecting some of the code. There are OPEN html files for admins to tweak to their liking (1.5) and a css to help those not brave enough for php ;)

Feel free to track me down if I can be of further assistance on any of this.

Adam
