CB Fields: Prevent users from modifying a field

Hi,
do you know a CB plugin used to prevent users to modify fields content once they have registered.

The admin would have the choice to freeze few fields in the back-end.

Once registered, users could modify their profile but these fields.

I downloaded the one in the downloads section but got an error when trying to use it...Lots of extra code and whatnot.

Did you have success using this?
