i spent the last hour or so just making the tabs in the code standard looking.
i also changed the variable names to english for the date, and included an extra config option for a date string ( %d-%m-%y ect... )
my next move is to make it not be 'double coded'
after that im going to hack in the server offset check
then im going to make the output a little cleaner
hopefully after that ive changed it enough to call it a fork or a new version or something, dont know the rules on that and could use some help.

I just tested server offset on my server, the latest version is currently plug_lastviewstab_v0.2.8stable.zip, and is using joomlas server offset automaticly. Try changing joomlas setting at global configuration -> locale and it will change the time on lastviews.
'changelog: v0.1.5beta-> added *automatic* timezone offset calculation,...' u must be using a very old version ?
Changing the internal variable names will not change the functionaly but feel free to change, it simply doesn't matter for the output
... but im checking the latest version, the one that danielle and beat (both english coding) have enhanced...and i see no foreign language.. its all english.. check ur version number again
There are 8 date and time options available.. wich one are you missing exactly ? Are you sure you are using the latest version ?
dl plug_lastviewstab_v0.X.X.zip (latest) from here
The code looks clean to me too.. properly tabbed.. i think danielle cleaned it up long time ago
If there is an issue with time then there must be a bug or the wrong offset setting in backend, but since so many sites are using this for so long this seems to be an isolated problem, but still very interesting to look into
Let me know wich version you are using.. or try reinstalling the one in the link above..
