This component seems to have disappeared. It's no longer in the Joomla Extensions Directory and the author's website has been down for months.

I have been using it and it works fine though I worry about security issues since it is obviously not being supported and updated so I can't recommend installing it on your site.

If anyone knows of any current work being done on the project please let me know as it is a useful component and I haven't found anything else as suitable for performers listing gigs.

Download 1.0 at
developer.joomla.org/sf/go/projects.gigcal/frs.gigcalendar_1_x

Gig Calendar website is
gigcalendar.net

Note: They've pulled 1.1 to totally overhaul the code. Next release will be 2.0
1.0 has some bugs when used in Joomla with register globals emulation turned off - specifically the way the month and year changer works on the full calendar in the front end. (i.e. - it doesn't work)

Otherwise it's a great plugin.

Any luck creating a CB plugin to work with gigCalendar? I'd love to see it if you've done it!

We're working on a new 1.0.3 release that includes a number of bug fixes and a small new feature. Work on the 2.0 series has slowed to focus on fixing bugs to the existing codebase. We are actively seeking volunteers to help us with development on the project - interested? Contact me directly at gigcalendar.net
