Hi Todd,
First of all welcome, great to see you made it
Second:
Wow you already have a great and very complete sounding feature list there!!
As for further feature requests: besides having admins able to moderate/delete, i would like to have that 'admin' group be called a 'moderator' group, and have it admin selectable (say author group and up, or something)
The following requests and issues are not really feasible since they need coppermine editing wich has nothing to do with your bridge nor the plugin you will create but i wanna mention them anyway:
I edited zoom, to let zoom create the album for the user automaticly, since they are mostly blond and clueless...
In fact i present only one button, 'upload', the album and corresponding directory on disc will be created so they just have a browse and upload button available and everyone can do it. Later i even added a 5mb discspace limitation and a colorful graphical display of discspace left. (imported great code from mod_progress for this
)
Later when some users already had an album, I re-enabled the ability to create a title for an uploaded file, and to edit this title after upload. Some users requested this feature co it was troublesome to edit their filenames on disc before the upload.
These are all the features currently in operation and it seems to be functioning perfect from a users perspective.
In short: I would love to see user albums be created automaticly and have admin selectable discspace limitation.
The coppermine geeks have created many features over time that added to the relative complexity of the gallery, im forced to be focused on enduser friendlyness and would like to stripdown 'complexity' (relatively speaking, sigh) as much as possible.
Another coppermine thing: I post new albums as 'admin' of events that the users actually participated in. So many users are actually on those pics. it would be cool if they could just click to get that pic placed on their own personal album.
Regards,
~Trail.
