"Could Not open socket" on registration was created by fred8367
Hi all :)

Today i was translating CB to danish, and everything went fine :)
Just until i wanted to try and retrieve a password.
I entered the username and email, and after submitting an error occured on a blank page:
Code:
Could not open socket
To be honest, im not sure that the language file causes this, since it has been a while since i've used this function.
I also noticed, that when i want to create a new user, i fill out the info and hit submit, but then, again... the error occures.
I will try deactivating some stuff, and reupload the default language file until it works again.
Does anyone know how to fix this, and what that might have caused this?

Thanks in advance

I just found out what caused the problem.
I think it was the outdated reCaptcha plugin from the CB 1.3 install.
Ill try updating this, and see how it works

I've had this problem with reCaptcha, though it was thanks to you that I knew the cause. I solved it by creating a new key for the offending site [I have a number of sites with EasyCalccheck + installed] via the recaptcha.net/ site

It now seems that this problem may also be a server one; outgoing messages to the google site were being blocked until I set the server to allow them. This is at the very edge of my knowledge so I might be wrong, but now I am getting the dreaded 'you must pass the remote ip to reCAPTCHA' error; to remove that I have recreated my global keys and it seems to be back on track ...
