Where can I find the required URL format for social media fields like LinkedIn?

1 week 3 days ago #340609 by STUCKSHUTTER
I can't seem to locate anything that tells me or lets a user know what the required URL format is for the social site fields. I.e., I want to show an example of what the user should put in the field for LinkedIn. Is it https://www. etc, or what the field content should look like.
Thanks in advance for the help!

What social media fields? You mean the ones from CB Connect? You don't supply those manually. Those populate with their social media account ids when they connect via CB Connect.

Thank you for clarifying that. At this point we don't want to set up a full social solution like CB Connect, at least right now. Given that, how would you suggest we add fields to contain links to the user's social sites? Just create fields or is there a better way?

Probably just a web address field where they can supply the URL to their profile or a field to supply the username (e.g. their instagram handle, twitter handle, etc..) and then you construct the link in the layout parameters of the field (e.g. [value]). Either should work fine.
