CB Subs transaction issue

Recently our client informed us that their paid member, was not showing up as paid. They provided the PayPal notice of payment, processed through the site.

I have looked through the subscription and payments tables. 
In the Subscriptions table, while the sub #'s increment by 1 on each line, in the time period of the missing subscription a ID number is missing.

While the payments ID each increment by 1 for each transaction, 2 payment baskets are missing. 

Reviewing the payment baskets, I see where several IDs are missing as well.

Where would the missing baskets, subscriptions, payments be?
Is there not a record of all baskets/payments retained somewhere that provides a full audit trail?

Sounds like IPNs were never configured so PayPal never notified the site about the payment or PayPal wasn't able to reach CBSubs. CBSubs being unreachable can be a common problem depending on how you configured Joomla and it's recommended to create Joomla menu items to CBSubs internal URLs (use menu type Community Builder > Plugin and select CB Paid Subscriptions as the plugin) to avoid Joomla menu ACL from blocking access.

Without IPNs you're entirely reliant on the user being redirected back to the site. If they close the page before that happens then CBSubs won't know a payment happened and the basket will just eventually expire. You should see the basket expiration in CBSubs > History Log.

I added the menu link for the return IPN as instructed. Will wait to see if that fixes the issue.

Could you update the instructions on where to input the required info on PayPal? Since PayPal changed their frontend, most your your navigation instructions are no longer relevant.
