Hello

I've finally been able to get the time to upgrade my site from J3 to J5 and of course JoomGallery is no longer supported (well it's in Alpha for J5).  Some of my users have photos in JoomGallery albums.

I wonder if there's a way I can transfer their albums and photos over for them so they don't have to re-upload them.

Has anyone been able to do this, or could suggest how I can do it?  I have phpmyadmin to the database, and root access to the filesystem.

Thanks.

We don't have an official migration from JoomGallery so I've no idea how difficult that might be. Migrating the database should at least be relatively easy if you've SQL experience otherwise probably impossible. The files themselves are stored as following in CB Gallery so you'd need to move all the files into this structure.

/images/comprofiler/plug_cbgallery/{USER_ID}/{MEDIA_TYPE}/{FILE}

An example would be the following.

/images/comprofiler/plug_cbgallery/52342/photos/992678950fd41767041e115e29a1cfb3.png

Regrading the database all media is stored in _comprofiler_plugin_gallery_items. I recommend uploading something to a profile gallery first so you can get an idea of the structure. Depending on how JoomGallery stored its media this maybe simple or complicated.
