I have noticed that the [PLAN_FIRST_RATE] is missing the currency symbol when the email arrives using HTML format.
All the other tags where a monetary value is present have the necessary symbol (£, €, $, etc) except [PLAN_FIRST_RATE].
This results in just a number being displayed on the email for example 5.00 rather than £5.00.
I thought about simply adding the currency symbol but realised that if the user pays in a different currency, it would display incorrectly.
Many thanks,
Life is a constant learning curve and I've just started out!
As the substitution states that is intentional; "[PLAN_RATE] and [PLAN_FIRST_RATE] are numeric values". Only the _PRICE substitutions have full price formatting applied to them. So for example the following: [PLAN_REGISTRATION_PRICE], [PLAN_UPGRADE_PRICE], and [PLAN_PRICE].
