We've created a public list of filtered members and we've used CB Privacy to make several test account profiles private to hide them in the list.
As a super user I see the private accounts in the list and a total of 308 members.
As a registered user I do not see the private accounts in the user list, however, the total remains 308 rather than showing the count minus hidden accounts.
It's not able to adjust the total since that's not exposed in any of the triggers. You can hide that however by adjusting the USERS_COUNT_MEMBERS language string using CB language overrides shown below.
