I updated everything as you advised in the above post.
I repeated the registration process with a new user, selected a subscription plan, chose PayPal (Sandbox mode) and completed the PayPal checkout successfully with no error messages..
Then I was redirected from PayPal back to the frontend and clearly shows the payment was successful.
Information in the backend now reflects the new subscription.
Tried upgrading from one subscription plan to another using Paypal Sandbox mode and that works perfectly also!
Excellent work, your support is top class and really appreciated.
Issue resolved.
