Strange... We even tried withoug a condition, so the user will get additional user group just when the profile is updated... But the user still does not get the other user group.. Even without any conditions... :((

Ensure CB Auto Actions is published and public within CB > Plugin Management. Below is also an example action for adding a usergroup on profile update.

Global
Triggers: onAfterUserUpdate
Type: Usergroups
User: Automatic
Access: Everybody
Action
Mode: Add Usergroups
Groups: SELECT_USERGROUPS_HERE

tried this and auto action is published. But this does not work. User does not get the new user group...

After trying with trigger "AfterUserProfileSaved" it seems to work.. Will let u know the results...

onAfterUserUpdate only applies to frontend. onAfterUpdateUser only applies to backend. So if you need it to work on both frontend and backend you'll need to be sure to specify both of those triggers. The above example is tested working. Did you add conditions to it or modify it from the above suggestion in any way?
