[SOLVED] This webpage has a redirect loop was created by LukeDouglas

We have a site that cannot complete subscriptions once they click a credit card icon to make payment. We have tried on Chrome, Firefox and IE10 clearing all cache and history.

Because of a problem with the captcha showing up twice, we disabled the 'captcha' and 'anti-spam' plug-ins.

Now we get this error message on the redirect:

If we go to h t t p: // imhresdomtest6 .com directly, we get the home page for KenMcNabb.com. That's a loop.

This is disturbing but it is a new site so if anyone has an idea how to resolve this, please respond....quickly!

The hosting service has completed the installation of the SSL and it is working as kenmcnabb.com does not give us any errors. :cheer:

However, we are still encountering the "This webpage has a redirect loop" but now with the proper domain name "kenmcnabb.com".

Ensure none of your CBSubs plans are trying to protect CBSubs or protect the entire CB extension as this can cause weird issues. Check the Extensions integration tab of your plans for this.

Next what payment gateway are you using when attempting to click the credit card page? If it's Dummy or Authorize.net for example that's on-site payments and CBSubs trys to enforce HTTPS usage and will attempt to redirect to HTTPS. This is configured within CBSubs > Settings > Credit Cards, but you may have a redirect from HTTPS to HTTP somewhere on your site (sometimes host configured or htaccess configured).

This may not have a darn thing to do with CBSubs.

The 'Home' menu Metadata option Secure had already been set to "On".

I went into the Joomla Global Configuration and set the Force SSL to Entire Site.

Opened up Chrome, delete 'all' history for everything, went to 'KenMcNabb.com' and got this:

So I renamed the .htaccess to .htaccess.disable.

Clear all history for everything on Chrome. Reloaded page. Got the same thing.

Went back into my Global settings and set Force SSL back to 'None'. Page loaded normally.

Now does this tell you anything that can help me find what is causing this problem?

Sounds like your issue is with Joomla and its forced SSL redirect. Ensure CBSubs credit card form is set to use HTTPS within CBSubs > Settings > Credit Cards. If it's set to HTTP then CBSubs will try to force render it as HTTP causing an infinite loop as Joomla will try to force render as HTTPS.

Krileon,

Yes, the "CreditCard Form http(s) mode:" is set to HTTPS.

I have "User login session on https switchover" set to "Keep user logged-in also in http".

This is curious as we have no problem with HikaShop checkout to Authorize.net.
