[SOLVED] How to assign a user specific Joomla content category

Hi Kyle,

What would you suggest your customer with Professional account, who is looking to set the following user scenario:

- the visitor arrives to his web-site and chooses to register
- during registration he needs to select what group of profession he belongs to (i.e. musician, painter, photographer)
- upon registration and activation of his account he automatically gets access to a specific Joomla content category, created for his profession.

You can assign a usergroup based off a field value then protect your Joomla content category using a view access level that usergroup is assigned to.
