I'm using joomla reset password for years, but with CB upgrade from 2.4.4 to 2.6.2 it stop working.
Only after disabling 'Community Builder System plugin' this joomla reset password is back. Couldn't find what is this plugin for.
Something seems to be blocking it.
Keep it published, but turn off URL rewriting and redirecting within its parameters in Extensions > Plugins. By default CB blocks access to core Joomla users component to avoid bypassing CB registration. You'll need to be sure to block access to Joomla's registration page yourself if you disable this.
