PHP error after upgrade to Joomla 3.6.4 was created by d.s.boyd

Hi,

I am experiencing an issue with CB front and back end after upgrading to the latest Joomla version 3.6.4.

Visiting the CB link on the front end gives:
Fatal error: Call to a member function getCfg() on a non-object in /**MYSERVER**/components/com_comprofiler/comprofiler.php on line 59

Visiting the CB module link on the back end gives the same error except on line 60?

I am running CB version 2.0.4 and have tried to update via Joomla internal system to 2.0.15 but this gives a 404 server error??

Can anyone please suggest what to try to fix this?

I have switched off FTP layer in Joomla and upgrade completed successfully so looks like an FTP layer issue.
