Useful tip. Redirect after login. was created by fsduarte
I was having a problem with my website and it took me a while to figure out the solution, so I thought it would be useful for other users of Community Builder, so I will share.

Our website has some menus that are restricted to registered users. If someone, who is not logged in, tries to access this type of menu item (thru a link by e-mail for instance) he will be redirected to the login component first. It would be expected that after successful login the user would be redirected to the restricted page he/she was trying to access in the first place. However, he is redirected to native Joomla profile view page (not Community Builder profile view page).

After a lot of searching and some trials of third party "redirect extensions", I found the solution, which is described below:

1. go to Extensions->Plugin
2. enter Community Builder System plugin item
3. Select "Parse URLs" tab
4. Set the "Pass Return URLs" item to "Enabled"

This applies to Joomla 3.5.1 and Community Builder 2.0.14. It might work in other versions too.

Best regards,
Fabio.

Thanks for sharing!

However, he is redirected to native Joomla profile view page (not Community Builder profile view page).

Bear in mind that it is highly recomended to:
- Turn off Joomla registrations
- Turn off Joomla emails to new users

Read more about that in Primer Book
