Problem resolved - apparently my hosting company has been 'playing with the servers' :blush:
I have two sites running Joomla 3.3.6 that are identical apart for the fact that one has CB 2.0.3 enabled and the other does not even have CB installed.
On an Apple iMac using OSX 10.10.1 (Yosemite latest version) and Chrome Version 38.0.2125.122 (latest version) I am unable to login to the Members' Area using either a Registered User account or a Super User account. The site functions perfectly in Safari and Firefox on the same machine. In Chrome the 'members' area' URL displays in the address bar for a short period of time and then the default login page displays.
The aforementioned identical site works perfectly in all three browsers (same machine!) - it has no CB elements installed (yet!), only the standard (native) Joomla login. :huh:
Anyone else have this problem and any suggestions as to how to fix this?
