Hi there,

Using the registration CB 1.9.1 with Joomla 3.2.1 gives the following warning:
Warning: is_readable() [function.is-readable]: open_basedir restriction in effect
File(/dev/urandom) is not within the allowed path(s)

My host provider tells me it is not allowed to call this routine.

Question?
What does it mean, the warning and
what can I do to solve this

Can somebody help?
THANKS!

Hi
I have the same problem. Every thing was OK before, but now, after registration, this Error is appear:
Warning: is_readable() [function.is-readable]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/dev/urandom) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home3/agreconi:/usr/lib/php:/usr/php4/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/php4/lib/php:/tmp) in /home3/agreconi/public_html/libraries/phpass/PasswordHash.php on line 51

also when a user login into site and then logout and login again, it says:
The username or password is wrong and he can not login to site anymore (also admin)

I have the same message. After clicking on the register button, the screen refreshes with this error message and also the new member email notification message. Testing shows that new members can login etc, so no problem there. Currently using CB 1.9.1 and Joomla!3.2.2

Screen capture attached.

The problem was the CB Version (CB 1.9.0 that was not compatible with Joomla 2.5.18). After upgrading to 1.9.1, the problem solved.
