Complete upgrade of Joomla site with CB was created by larryl

I know, I know that I have let this site go to waste. I am on Joomla 1.5.26 and CB 1.2.3. Is there a path that I can take that will let me keep all my users, over 400 of them, and content in an upgrade to both Joomla and CB? Thank you for any help.

Upgrade to CB 1.9 (the package has an upgrade readme file).
