Double account

Hi,

I have more than 40000 users and 65 of them have a double account in community builder: 2 accounts with the same username, email, date of registration etc...

Do you know why this happens ?

Only you know what happened really.

Rest of us are just guessing that you got here because of something you did.
Perhaps a migration from another Joomla version or site?
Or a database intervention.

Sorry no way to really guess here.

I just know that by itself CB does not cause this.

I didn't migrate the database or didn't do any migration.

Also, I realy think that the problem is caused by CB because the id of the double accounts follow each other.

For example I see :

mike974 with the id= 5285
mike974 with the id= 5286

It's like CB create 2 account for some users, one after the other.

The only difference between the 2 accounts is the date of last connection: eveytime, the first account don't have any connexion, I think the account used by the member is the last one.

Nobody have an idea of what happens ?

What CB version?
When exactly did this happen?

Joomla version: 1.5.26
CB version: 1.8.1

The first double account have been created in december 2011, after that, there's approximately 5 or 6 created each month.

Not sure if i can help you.

Upgrade to CB 1.9.
Make sure you have following installation instructions and turned off Joomla registration (see installation guide).
