Add a user location on google map on registration.

Hello,

We're setting up a website for our village fiber optics broadband project.

We're looking for a plugin for CM that automatically would place a little mark on a Google map for every registered user. The dots could very well be anonymous, it doesn't have to say which user that live where, it is more just to give a good overview of how many in the village that join the project and where they are.

The plugin should be able to fetch the data needed to pinpoint the location on Google map from the address provided by the registered user via the CB registration.

Are there any such solutions available? If, can a kind enligtehend soul point me in the right direction?

Have a look at the Joomla Extension Directory, there are several plugins for geocoding. As far as I'm aware plugins which automatically add the user's location to the map cost money .. for which reason I haven't tried them myself. If you find one that works well for you we'd appreciate your feedback
