Install error

Every time when I try to install Community Builder I get the following error:

Unable to create directory '/'Unable to create path for /install_4ebe259ca8c26/index.html
Installer - Error
Uncompressing /var/***/***/***/joomla/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/pluginsfiles.tgz failed.

I tried to create manually the path and index file but it doesn't work.
What should I do to solve this problem?

I use the most actual CB version (downloaded today) and Joomla 1.7

Sounds like a permissions issue. Without knowing your variables, note that the readme specifies that:

IMPORTANT - CB 1.8 must be installed on a PHP 5.0 or better environment
(PHP 5.2+ recommended).
CB 1.8 will **not** install on PHP 4.0.
MYSQL 5.0 or better required.
CB DOES NOT WORK ON MICROSOFT SQL SERVER.
