New users default connection

Hi,

I am trying to set my user account on my website as the first connection for every user that registers, so that every user has at least 1 "buddy" in the beginnig.

I'm guessing this has been done before, but I can't find anything about it on the forum.
Can you please explain how this can be done? If possible maybe even explain how to set different default users depending on registration info for example boy/girl

a while ago I saw a plugin somewhere that could ad a facebook like ajax user search bar to community builder as a module. Now I have been trying to find it again and I just can't remember the right keywords to find it. If you know what I'm talking about could you please point me to the provider of this plugin?
