Paid Subscriptions not responding at all

I have a 3.10.12 site with php 7.4 and CB Core up to date but when in install CBSubs and try to use it, the whole site hangs (front and backend).

I do have other old CB add-ons installed but don't need/want them any longer. Could that be the issue?

Installation of core and cbsubs went perfectly and I did all the database checks which all came back fine as well.

By hangs you mean it just sits there loading and loading? Does it eventually load or eventually time out with any kind of error? Is the plugin published and public access in CB > Plugin Management? Try enabling Joomla debug mode and maximum error reporting then retrying to see if an error outputs.

Is there any particular reason you're still using Joomla 3.10? I strongly strongly suggest moving to Joomla 4 at the very least as soon as possible.

I am cleaning up my 3.10 install to move to 4 by getting rid of old and unneeded joomla plugins.

How do I completely remove something like cb auto actions as there are joomla plug-ins and modules? Deleting the cb plug-in doesn't remove the joomla parts.

I'm going to finish cleaning j3 to get a clean upgradeto j4, then come back to installing cbsubs on j4.

As for the site... it just continues to spin without ever loading or throwing errors.

Just uninstall their Joomla plugins and modules before or after uninstalling their CB plugins.

As for the site... it just continues to spin without ever loading or throwing errors.

Strange, it should at least time out. Are you able to contact your host and see if they can check logs? I suppose it's possible your host is blocking an outbound request. We do an outbound request to update currency conversion rates and to version check.

It did timeout... I just didn't wait around that long (more than 10 minutes!).

I'll get the site to j4 and see what happens there and if same issue shows up, I'll reopen this thread and start a deeper debug.
