Subscription Expirations was created by wjgadmin
Hi folks,
Apologies, I've forgotten exactly how to achieve this as we do seem to be having some issues and confident it is in our setting(s).

When a user unsubscribes, we'd like to ensure they maintain their access until their expiration date. For example if their expiration date = 5/1/23 and they unsubscribe on 4/21/23, we want the user to still be able to access their membership w/ access until their expiration date of 5/1/23.

Currently, when they unsubscribe, it is expiring them immediately :(

Looking forward to hearing back.

What payment gateway are you using? I believe at this time only our PayPal implementation lets you cancel recurring without cancelling the subscription.

We use both PayPal and Stripe.

Let me clarify, so I understand correctly. Whether the subscription gets cancelled merchant side doesn't necessarily matter, but we want to make sure users who pay for (example) a month, get the full month even if they unsubscribe before their expiration date.

Meaning, they still have access to what they've paid for on our site. Doesn't CBSubs handle that part?

Yes, but depends on the gateway used to subscribe. For PayPal for example they should see 2 buttons when they go to unsubscribe. 1 to cancel recurring only and 1 to cancel the entire subscription. We have not implemented this for Stripe as of yet.

I see, are you guys planning to?

This does cause many issues unfortunately. For example, when a user pays for a time based subscription (EX: 1 month), they expect to get that month. So if they're using Stripe (they don't know this behavior), and they unsubscribe, they contact us unhappily because they can't access what they've paid for :(

Thank you for understanding.

Should be a simple enough addition. Will take a look tomorrow.
