HTML Invoice Issue was created by nphic
Folks,

I've been using CBSubs for invoicing for years. I know it is not recommended but I use HTML for our invoices. I'm having a real problem with the invoice formatting when receiving invoice emails from CBsubs in Outlook. It appears that and I'm not sure if it is the CBsubs email processor, but a <br> is being added after every HTML tag. This is causing my html invoice to add lines. I attached 2 HTML files. The first is the "view source" of the Outlook message I received from CBSubs. The second is an HTML file of the code in my CBSubs Invoice "State Dues - Individual State". Can you please provide me with some guidance on how to resolve this issue?

Thanks,
Joe

That's likely the linebreak replacement functionality built into CB. Most emails are textarea boxes where linebreaks supplied to them for an HTML email would not work so we convert them to HTML linebreaks. What parameter specifically is doing this as I'm able to add exclusions from this behavior if that parameter is a WYSIWYG editor. If it's a textarea though I suggest not adding non-HTML linebreaks to the parameter to avoid triggering this behavior.

Kyle,

So sorry for the delay in getting back with you! I was out of the office a bit this week. I'm using JCE Editor to design this form. It was working for a longtime and all of a sudden started doing this to us. I use the <br> HTML tag to insert necessary linebreaks. I'd prefer that CBSubs Mailer does not add any linebreaks when the HTML message type is selected. Does that help?

Thanks,
Joe Rebele

You need to provide exactly what parameter this is happening with so I can add the linebreak correction exclusion for it. Is this a CBSubs Mailer email?

Kyle,

Thanks! I'll attach a copy of the code today or tomorrow at the latest. I'm back in the office tomorrow.

You don't need to provide the HTML. I just need to know what parameter it's in so I can make it excluded from the linebreak fixing behavior.
