Hi,
I would like to create a new 'User Subscription Plan' ( Plan A ) with:
'Is the first amount and period different' set to 'Different first period and price for Upgrade only'
'Auto-recurring renewals' set to 'Yes'
and 'Allow Registration' set to 'No'

I would like to set it so that the only people who can upgrade to Plan A are people who have expired from Plan B *in the last week*.

I think that I need to create a 'Static Conditions on already existing subscriptions and CB Fields and Dates to allow upgrades' as follows:
Any of the following plans subscriptions - Plan B
Must be in state: Expired
Or can be purchased same time: No
Conditions on latest user subscriptions: No
Dates / CB Fields Comparisons:
Date A, Field A or Value A: Expiry Date of Existing User subscription above
Date B, Field B or Value B: Order Date of the Order wanting to use this promotion
Condition 1 (> for Dates): Date A > Date B - 7 days

Is this correct ?

My new plan is a recurring plan with automatic payments, so each month the plan will renew automatically but if people cancel their subscription, I don't want them to be able to upgrade to Plan A a second time..
What should I set the following fields to ?
Renewable in advance by:
Can be reactivated if expired or cancelled since more than:

Thanks

Your settings look correct except for the renewal configuration. Your current configuration would allow them to renew if they cancelled. There are no conditions for renewals so the conditions you've configured under workflows wouldn't apply to it. You'll probably need something like the following to prevent renewals.

Renewable in advance by: 1 week (7 days)
Grace period before real expiration: 1 week (7 days)
Can be reactivated if expired or cancelled since more than: Once expired or cancelled cannot be reactivated

Note the grace period is important for auto recurring plans. Payment gateways at times can be slow to let you know a recurring payment has come through. This will prevent plans from expiring prematurely. Now with "Can be reactivated if expired or cancelled since more than" set to "Once expired or cancelled cannot be reactivated" users will not be able to renew it if the expire or cancel.
