Dear JoomlaPolis Team,

I installed the CB Paid Subscription plugin and I started to work on it.
I created several plans but I don't manage to translate the plan description (it should be possible as in the popup description note it's said the [PLAN_DESCRIPTION] can be translated.
The langauge plugin seems it's not working in this case, moreover how can I identify the plan to be translated? By chance using their id?

I attached a screenshot of a plan settings page.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Alessandro.

Add a language key as your plans description (e.g. PLAN_1_DESC) then use language overrides to translate it. See the below on how to use language overrides.

www.joomlapolis.com/blog/kyle/18701-language-overrides-have-arrived

Since you're using a WYSIWYG be careful that the language key you supply for the description is not surrounded by paragraph elements.

Hi Krileon,

thanks as always for the great support!

I had already followed the tutorial about "language overrides" but it was not working with "CB Paid Subscription Plugin". On the contrary it was working with "Community Builder" elements.
Even if I was using the "source code" from the WYSIWYG editor it was not working...

At last, following your advice, I found the problem and the solution that I share with the community. :-).

The problem is within the standard Joomla editor "TinyMCE". So to make translations work you first have to go to Joomla Plugins and disable the "Editor TinyMCE". Then you can use the substitutions without any problem.
Of course when you finish everything you can go back to Joomla Plugins and re-enable the TinyMCE editor.

Actually I suppose it's a bug of "CB Subs" as eveything works without problems with "Community Builder" translations... I hope it will be solved with next releases... :-)

In any case, thanks again for the help!

Alessandro.

It's not a bug in CBSubs. TinyMCE is likely surrounding your content with paragraph elements. Translations do not work inline. The paragraph elements will cause the language string to never be detected. Easiest fix for this is to edit TinyMCE editor plugin in Extensions > Plugins and configure it to use BR (line break elements) for new lines instead of P (paragraph elements). This will prevent the editor from altering your content without your consent (big reason I strongly dislike majority of WYSIWYG editors).

I had the same problem and my solution is simply to add the surrounding paragraph elements to the key:
Code:
'<p>PLAN_DESCRIPTION</p>' => '...description here...',

For me this works perfect without the neede to change anything.

Yup, you can also add the paragraph elements. You basically just need to be sure the language key contains the full description since there is no inline translations.
