Kyle,

OK - under the automation settings, - Mass expiry settings - I see the following options:

Admin area only (100 at a time maximum per main CBSubs admin pageload)
Front-end (10 max/page) and admin accesses (100max/page) (cbpaidsubsbot needed)
Cron task and admin access (100max/page)
Cron task only (no mass-expiry elsewhere)

Then it gives 100 maximum subscriptions to expire per cron task run
and it shows the URL of the cron task.

We were set on Cron task only and have been always likely. I don't believe that I have a cron task setup on our server. This is the setting where we are getting emails triggered by frontend activity.

I didn't actually figure the cron task would run if I don't have a cron task setup.

Set "Mass expire subscriptions method" to "Cron task only (no mass-expiry elsewhere)" then setup a CRON task to run "Url of cron task". This will trigger expiration's on a mass scale whenever you want. The user themselves can still trigger their own expiration's (e.g. if they login), which you can't disable. Expiration's should be triggered at least daily to provide a reliable site usage. If you want emails specifically to be scheduled then don't use the emails under the Presentation tab and instead use CBSubs Mailer and setup CRON to trigger your custom mailers.
