No, it'll only apply the coupon to the basket if it's used via the input and after clicking the button. Could be a useful feature though when using the new addtobasket URLs. Have added a feature ticket to look into this further.

For the time being you could use a promotion that is always applied then configure it to only apply to your specific plan.
