Im trying to translate my plan desciption but all I get is the language string name. In fact, I cannot use any language string from com_comprofiler/plugin/language/default_language/language.php.
If I put the same language string in the plan name it does work.
What am I doing wrong?

Toggle the editor and add your language string directly as the source. Most likely the WYSIWYG is surrounding your string with p elements.

I can confirm that this was the problem, however, even after I toggle the editor it still saves with tags. When pressing "Apply" or "Save" it switches back to the original editor right before the page reload.
I removed the tags in the database instead and now it is working properly.
Yeah, it's a huge reason why I'm not a fan of WYSIWYG (I don't like my input altered just because it feels it knows best). The best way to stop it for good is to navigate to Extensions > Plugins and edit "Editor - TinyMCE" then set "New Lines" to "BR Elements". That should stop it from surrounding everything with P elements.
