I am having similar problems to a message I read when searching, but couldnt leave a message there...

since making domain SSL
live_site is blank
Forcing SSL in Joomla config
and have Force HTTPS on CBSubs forms.

Is there also a setting in the .htaccess file? If so, please let me know what it is.

Browser console window shows this :

Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at seal.godaddy.com/setSealAttr?sealID=5ETkA3WIdZMTmmApxc9qQucdchp4tCbA4ifhspswXpIascPXyh2hoK0Xcjty&usesLink=false&t=0.2832886505568968 . (Reason: CORS header 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' missing).

I imagine something is wrong with the way our SSL is working...can you tell by the message?

Thanks,

Getting cross-origin errors which i believe is causing scripts not to fire.

Main pages are in the root directory not using joomla.

I have placed our joomla instance in a separate folder and made it a subdomain. Advice from Godaddy is to use ssl ucc and certificate both independently.

This makes sense to me, how about you?

Please advise about best settings for SSL in Joomla config, .htaccess, CBSubs and any other place needed.

We can't help you with server configuration on hosting that isn't ours. CB and CBSubs use live_site directly. If empty in configuration.php it's generated by Joomla based off current domain. In short if you're on HTTPS CB will use HTTPS. You'd need to specifically review the page HTML of the page giving a cross domain error as it could be an image, css file, etc.. that's loading without HTTPS or vise verse.
