But I need SEF URLs turned on (clearly). Do you have any ideas for a fix?

Sorry - been trying to replicate but was not able to - please PM me backend superadmin access and info on how to test and I will see if I can figure out what is wrong or how to replicate here.

Yup, this is a known issue that has been resolved with a patched file (somewhere on the forums) by Kyle.

I had forgotten about it altogether.

I already patched your site and things seem to be working now - please confirm.
