What do you recommend to do on a live site where I intend to install, and put to use, CBSubs for the first time?
Must the site be offline, or is there a "main switch" turning CBSubs on/off?

My concern is that it will take some time to configure plans, payment gateways and other settings, while my members might be restricted or even requested to pay membership before I have finished the configuration.

Thanks for any advice,
-Lars

The site in question: www.TamiyaBase.com
Joomla 2.5.14, CB 1.9, CBSubs 3.0

Quick update,
I've gone ahead and installed CBSubs while the site is live.
I learned that disabling Registration makes life a lot easier :-)

Still, I think the CBSubs manual should include a chapter on "Best Practices" regarding installation on a live site. (unless I missed it somewhere in the 609 pages of really good documentation)

All installed plugins are disabled by default. Simply install, configure, then enable. You can configure a plugin without having to enable it.

Very good. I tried one of the competitors of CBSubs. On that system the plugin had to be enabled for the system to be configured. That was not very convenient.

Thank you for a great CBSubs, and for the good support.
