I have a sport club membership site. The pricing for a club depends on the # of teams a club has. Do I need to set up a single subscription for each club from 1 to 10 teams or is there a way to have 1 plan with a drop down for the team count?

Yes, or you can try using CBSubs Promotions to add a negative promotion which increases the price of a subscription. You can then try to increase the price based off a field that they select how many teams they want.

No, not without possibly using CBSubs Promotions trick as mentioned above.
