CBSubs isn't a Joomla extension. Please review your CBSubs documentation for installation instructions. It's a CB plugin and needs to be installed through CB > Plugin Management.

Replied by Joomrick1 on topic Re: Error when trying to install CB Subs GPL 3.0
Hi,

I am just trying to install the (CBSubs_300-unzip1st.zip) file to install CBSubs onto my Joomla website. I have read pages 50 and 51 of the cbsubs_manual_3.0.pdf manual.
CB-quickstart-pro_1.5.zip has been installed on my Joomla 3 system. This quickstart indicates CB1.9 is the latest.

When I upload to the CB Plugin Management it comes up with
"ERROR: Could not find an XML setup file in the package."
This is also the case when I try to load it through standard Joomla "JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file"

Maybe I am missing something. Should an initial cb_1_9_0-unzip1st.zip be installed over?

Would it be any different Installing from directory?

Thankyou for your help.

You need to unzip the package first, please read your CBSubs documentation it walks you through the installation step by step.
